            <title>Vol.2 iss. 17 Vaccination for children - Good or dangerous</title>

We do not intend to tell you what you have to do or not. &lt;br&gt;You are responsible yourself to make good choices.&lt;br&gt;What we can offer you is our personal view, our belief.&lt;br&gt;Here is what we do: We do not vaccinate our children for several reasons.&lt;br&gt;As Benny is our oldest (he is 9 years) and our “raw food journey” just started 6 years ago, we where so different when Benny was a baby.&lt;br&gt;You have to know that Katie and I were so young when we became parents. We met when Katie was just 18 years of age, and we had our first child when Katie was 22.&lt;br&gt;We felt dependent on doctors (with a weird and weak feeling in the stomach already) at that point in time as we didn't know any better.&lt;br&gt;So Benny got some shots when he was a young baby, and he heavily reacted to them, as I know I did as well when I got the shots.&lt;br&gt;But since we are on raw food (almost 6 years ago) none in our family has had any vaccinations.&lt;br&gt;1. There is no real proof that vaccinations work anyway. I have heard and read about many cases, where kids got the shots and suffered from the diseases they have been made “immune” against later on. So they not only got the shots which have been proven to do terrible damage to the immune system, but they had no protection at all.&lt;br&gt;2. The side-effects are so strong that sometimes they can be worse than the disease itself. Not only do some of the vaccinations work in a way that they infect you with the real virus, so the little bodies get totally stressed to fight something that was not there before, but there have been many, many cases in which other diseases have appeared as side-effect of the vaccination, some of them with death as final result.&lt;br&gt;3. The side-effect of the vaccination itself. Some effects can be so strong that people have reported to get in shock and suffer long-term damage as direct results of the vaccination. Damage that is effecting them up until today and for the rest of their life's.&lt;br&gt;4. The unclear structure of pharmaceutical industry, government and the “gods in white” medical guild who gets paid by the pharmaceutical lobby to prescribe and give the drugs. As long as this structure is not clear and transparent, and billions of dollars can be made with fear and disinformation, you have to doubt everything you have been told from doctors and government. They are the puppets of the pharmaceutical industry.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In addition to these 4 reasons I want to mention that we have been traveling the tropics for a long time, together with our little children. This makes things even worse for people with doubt and fear.&lt;br&gt;One more reason to do all these vaccination is for protection.&lt;br&gt;It is so funny and fits perfectly in our modern way of thinking being separated from our intuition and mother earth, that we want to believe that some god in white gives us the magic pill, that will heal us from diseases and protect us from all further dangers. We are weak victims without power and knowledge if we believe in this picture the government and pharmaceutical lobby wants you to believe in!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;As we travel countries with malaria, dengue, millions of bugs insects and other parasites a lot of people do ask us if we take for example malaria prophylaxes to protect ourselves, and what our experiences are regarding doing this with small children and infants.&lt;br&gt;Our answer is: None in our family has ever taken any chemicals, drugs, pills or prophylaxes to prevent diseases. None in our family has been sick at all since we went raw.&lt;br&gt;You see that is the point. We so desperately want to help you to take the power back to yourself. Back where it belongs. &lt;br&gt;You do not need the doctors and pills. They do not help you and you do not need any help, as you have everything you need to restore and maintain perfect health.&lt;br&gt;(Do not get me wrong. Doctors are great if you have an accident and break your bone. We need their knowledge and wisdom in these extreme situations. But only then. In all other circumstances can we and should we take care of ourselves in a responsible way!)&lt;br&gt;If you eat a healthy diet, do exercise, are in contact with Mother Nature every day and look for your mental and emotional well-being, there is nothing you have to be afraid of- and in our belief and experience there is no need for vaccinations then, as your body can take care perfectly care of itself.&lt;br&gt;That is really all you need!&lt;br&gt;This will help you to get in deep contact with your source and restore not only health but also trust, which is what is missing so much in our world.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We do not fear any anything as we take care of ourselves to the best of our abilities. &lt;br&gt;We allow ourselves to be and create without limitations or fear. We also take responsibility for our life and our health.&lt;br&gt;This is the key success to health and why you do not need vaccinations, doctors or drugs.&lt;br&gt;This is our belief.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

This box can be so small and unflexible.&lt;br&gt;And: It is all just a concept.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I think we can agree that eating a high percentage of raw food is something that does help to increase energy and health. And that you can also heal and reverse all sorts of diseases with raw food is also evident. Our personal family history gives proof to that. But the percentage is something that varys so much from person to person.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;You also need to take it easy. You will help no one if you set up so incredible high standards and experience failure all day long. This will produce frustration, anger and guilt.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Better you understand and accept where you are right now, and make slow and small but persistent steps in the direction you want to go!&lt;br&gt;Most of all: Enjoy the ride! Enjoy the food you eat. Allow your children to enjoy it as well.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Do not judge yourself. You do not have to, as nothing ever stays the same. It changes.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;So here are some things you can do to raise your kids to be healthy:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;~ You can at least give them just raw food sweets. Let's say you decide you have cakes, ice cream, cookies, chocolate etc. in raw food form, and then you will make a dramatic and positive impact on your child's health.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;~ You decide that you have raw food at home, but allow your child whatever they want when you are not home. Children are clever and they will learn to notice the difference in how they feel.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;~ Stop eating animal products and explain to your child about the animal kingdom and how they suffer giving their life to us.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;~ At least stop eating/drinking cow products and use just unpasteurized goats milk or cheese. After 4 years of the children being 100% raw, we wanted to offer them goat's milk to see if they liked and needed it. They all tried some and I didn't notice any unwanted reaction to it. Raw goat's milk has a lot of important nutrients and is much easier to digest for us than cow's milk.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;~ Stop cooking meals with fast food ingredients. When your child is really hungry offer them a salad first.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I have a friend who is raising her child on raw food. Her child has to go to nursery because she is a single mum.&lt;br&gt;Her daughter has one cooked meal a day there, yet is still the healthiest child in the group!!&lt;br&gt;So as you see, there are options. There are ways and possibilities you can choose to raise your kids in a healthy way, yet still not on a extreme 100% raw food diet.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Of course I'd love to everyone raising their children on a high raw diet, but as I mentioned before: Don't get stressed out. Don't focus too much on the percentage of what you eat.             <title>Vol. 2 Iss. 15 How to support your children to make healthy choices</title>

When they are young we have to make some decisions for them. Especially when it comes down to the diet, we take a huge responsibility for developing healthy eating structures. The first years of a life are very important to establish these hopefully healthy patterns.&lt;br&gt;But the older our children grow, the more we need to let them make their own decisions.&lt;br&gt;And sometimes this is the hardest thing to do as a parent. Supporting our children to find their own way does take a lot from us.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;This works fine as long as they stay “on track”. Or what we consider as the “right track”.&lt;br&gt;If you see your kid making a bad choice, giving in to some strange peer group pressure, it is so hard to hold yourself back and let them experience the fault and the consequences (Of course not when they want to touch a pot with boiling water). In order to be able to make such decisions, they need to make some bad ones and learn from it.&lt;br&gt;In our belief this is the only way to support our children to learn to make healthy decisions.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;There is nothing wrong with a bad decision. The very interesting question is more about how you deal with such an experience.&lt;br&gt;Please ask yourself this.&lt;br&gt;What are your consequences??&lt;br&gt;We need to trust our kids. This is the main message here.&lt;br&gt;We need to trust our kids, that they will find their way. They will walk their way in any way, but the more we support them with trust, the easier they will walk it and become happy and healthy adults.&lt;br&gt;The easier they will build up confidence to make a decision (even against peer group pressure) and stick to it.&lt;br&gt;They will learn to trust their own feelings regarding a topic and not what the strong leaders of their peer group have to say, or even YOU have to say.&lt;br&gt;We want our children to be strong! Strong enough to be able to make good decisions. So let your kids learn it from an early age.&lt;br&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;This is one aspect I do not like so much about the western school system. Children are not asked for their opinion, for their interest. The teachers have to stick to a system, somebody invented at some point in time. It is about reproducing data, following strange rules in a streamlined way.&lt;br&gt;It can be hard for our kids to really stay in contact with their inner guidance system that always tells us what is right and wrong.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;But we as parents can do our part to support and strengthen our kids!&lt;br&gt;We need to lead by example. &lt;br&gt;How do you deal with bad decisions? &lt;br&gt;How often do you do the right thing? &lt;br&gt;How delightful do you enjoy your greens and veggies?&lt;br&gt;How much TV do you watch?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;These are important questions you need to answer in order to be the best support possible.&lt;br&gt;But even if you are not living up to your own expectations, there is no problem. It's ok!&lt;br&gt;As long as you really work on yourself and try to change things for the better your kids will see that.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;This is all you can expect from yourself. This also all you can ever expect from anybody around you, including your children!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Be the change you want to see in your children.&lt;br&gt;And the last aspect is to simply take it easy!&lt;br&gt;We need to allow ourselves and our children to make mistakes, and still be in love with us.&lt;br&gt;This is what we need to teach our children, because this is the emotional space in which we can change our actions for the better.&lt;br&gt;When we start to blame ourselves for not being that perfect rawfooder, that successful ever-smiling human being with no problems, that mum or dad, we separate ourselves from what we are right now. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;This makes it hard to change. We spin around in circles feeling bad about this specific characteristic.&lt;br&gt;We are what we are right now, and this is good.&lt;br&gt;As I said before: The only thing you can ask yourself for is: Work on yourself to become better.&lt;br&gt;A mixture of all the points above will really help your kids to become confident to make healthy decisions, sometimes even against the group pressure.&lt;br&gt;So you see, there is so much work to do. You still can do so much to help your children, even if you think that they do not listen to you.&lt;br&gt;If you work on yourself, you will shine and radiate as a living example of health and truth.             <description>&lt;u&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The art of trusting your children withy their diet, and letting go&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We are living a raw food lifestyle since almost 5 years now together as a family. The kids are 100% raw since 4 years (it took us parents a bit longer to really stay 100%)&lt;br&gt;So if you trust many of the rawfoodists out there, who say and preach that after eating raw food for such a long time, your system will almost collapse if you put just any little, tiny amount of processed cooked food in it, the we have someting to share.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We already wrote this a cuple of weeks ago, and we would like to share how it developped. Benny(our oldest) told us in December,&amp;nbsp; that he wanted to try some cooked food again.&lt;br&gt;To be total honest with you: I was a liile bit shocked about that. You know; We are The Rawfoodfamily.&lt;br&gt;There was no real reason or sign which was warning us. It came out of the blue.&lt;br&gt;But on the other hand I felt so happy and proud, that Benny was telling us about his wishes in all honesty and trust.&lt;br&gt;Of course I talked to Katie about this, and we both agreed, that we wanted to honour Bennys wish and reward his honesty with total trust.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We thought, that it would be best to allow him to follow his desire and find out for himself, what is good or not good.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;To be totally honest with you again: I hoped deep inside, that he would taste it once, and feel so sick afterwards, that he would never touch it again.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;But now comes the amazing part about this story:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After studying all the raw food experts, and reading books, I was so afraid of the consequences. &lt;br&gt;And not only that, but we are also THE Rawfoodfamily. I do not want my kids to suffer from bad food. And&amp;nbsp; I am not interested in eating this way for myself.&lt;br&gt;It is written in&amp;nbsp; most books, that especially kids who are so pure after years of eating that way, could suffer fromn a toxic shock. &lt;br&gt;At least they would get sick, and throw up.&lt;br&gt;But the thing was:&lt;br&gt;Nothing happened!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Isn't that amazing? He didn't eat much of it, maybe half a plate, but still: It is amazing.&lt;br&gt;He deeply enjoyed the food, and feeling the freedom and the trust we had in him. He was gently testing the food, very slowly and with all his awareness.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After this first time he repeated his wish several times. Maybe 1 time a week. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;But after a liitle more then a month, he decided to cut down on this again, because he felt for himself, that he was feeling different.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I am so happy and grateful for my littel son! He went through this process all by himself. It feels so good! I am very proud of him.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The bottom line here is, that we need to trust our children with their diet. Of course not when they are infants, but there comesw an age, when we need to give them the trust they deserve and need.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Everybody will profit from this trust.
