When we had our first child, Ka was 25 and I was 22 years old.
We both really wanted to have that child, but we weren`t prepared at all. Neither of us had any money or an education, nor were we interested in health.
In fact we were totally into partying, smoking and drinking . We ate a normal German diet, which included milk, bread, and meat. I was always ill and actually lived on cigarettes , alcohol, chips and pizza.
|
When we discovered that I was pregnant, we BOTH quit smoking and drinking immediately.I started to be more aware of what I was eating, but I was still really confused about what , how, and when to eat.So I ate whenever I wanted and whatever I liked. I developed a chocolate addiction and so did Ka.When Benny was born his weight was 4,6 kg (10.1 lbs), which is pretty heavy! But, he was healthy. We still ate meat, but developed the feeling, that Bennys pure body was not meant to have it, and so he did not get it. We were pretty careful with milk, as well, because I never liked it, and we had the feeling that Benny could be allergic to it.

We started to eat mostly organic food,
because our feeling was that it just tasted better and we wanted to
nourish Benny as good as possible.
2 years later I was pregnant again,
but this time I had to lay down almost 3 month before the expected
date of birth. Jaro was born at home, with a midwife, and 4 weeks
early. He weight 4 kilo (8.8 lbs).
After all the time lying around, I
wanted to feel fit again and started to go to the gym when Jaro was
about a 10 months old. I had never done sports before. I found myself
quickly amazed with the, kinds of feelings about my body that I could
get, when I just MOVED! I just thought: "Why didn’t anybody
tell me this before? This is so fun!"
When Jaro was 14 months old he always
had a sticky nose and developed a chough that made him throw-up
sometimes. The doctor said: "your son has ASTHMA."
We were shocked! Our small, pure son
with asthma? I just thought "I don`t want this to be! I want to
have two healthy children and not to worry all the time".
That is when I started to open-up for
some new input and, thank God, I found it in my mother’s bookshelf.
"If you want to be healthy, forget
about cooking" , was the title of the book that I found there.
Upon reading it, I was hooked
immediately... it suddenly all made sense to me- all of my dramatic
eating habits during my life.
| |
I had never really liked milk, cheese,
eggs, messed up food, cakes, cream, and meat. I could have happily
lived on apples and salad. Unfortunately, though, my enviroment
forced me to have something else, which was,“ healthy,“ or „the
way that I was meant to eat,“ and that is how I developed my
addictions.

After some disscusions with my lovely
husband, we were ready to start.
We actually jump-started. We stopped
cooking immediately, and swopped-out our normal breakfast, which was
bread and jam or muesli, with just having fruits.
In the evenings, we would have salad
with some toasted bread toped with lettuce, tomato and avocado.
We wanted to keep some normal things,
because of Benny. You must keep in mind, that he was 3 by that time,
and had eaten a standard diet ‚til then.
We felt great! And Jaro, our ill child,
was cough-free after just 3 days.
Our journey went on. After a lovely
(about 80%) Rawfood summer in our gypsy wagon, we left Germany to
travel the world.
It made the Rawfood Journey a lot
easier to leave the "cooked food background", but we still
ate maybe 80-90% Rawfood. We had a lot of fruits at this time.

In Thailand we discovered that I was
pregnant again.
My first Rawfood pregnancy so far. I
developed cravings for dark green leafy vegtables and cherries.
I had never felt so good during one of
my pregnancies before. I was just more energetic and especially
stable in my emotional status.
We loved life in Thailand!
There were the best, ripe fruits
available everywhere and we enjoyed all of them! We spend most of
our time at beaches on small islands.
After a month we went on to Australia,
where we stayed some months at the east coast. We met many families
and had a lovely time at Byron Bay and Nimbin.

Ronja was born in Germany, and never ill, in her almost 3 years of life. It was a beautiful natural birth like Jaros and the whole family was involved. When Ronja was some months old, we deceided to move again. We did let go of all our things we had, and moved into our loved truck called "Emma" ! We constructed the whole inside of this bus with real wood and enjoyed a lovely european summer in our mobile house! We spend over a year living in the truck travelling Europe and going with the flow. It was so easy going with the flow, because we were mobile. There is much more flow when being flexible in
all directions!
|
But we used the law of attraction to move again. We imaged ourself to have a warm winter down south. We wanted to go to the Canary Islands. And so things were rolling for us.
Exactly on Christmas Day, we sold Emma, and some days later, we were where we wanted to be:
On La Palma (Canary Islands, West Africa)!
This was our home for more than a year. She was called EMMA. An old lady, loved and trusted until we let her go
(2007- 2008) We loved her so much !!

We spend some months there at a friends place, where Ka did some building and enjoyed a warm winter, and an early spring! The summer of 2008 was a camping summer in Germany, living in a tent and sleeping outside in beautiful nature for months. But, then we deceided to go to England. The main reason for us was, that we wanted to do homeschooling with our children, and this is not allowed in Germany, because of some strange laws there. So we left Germany again, and this time, it was forever! We moved to England and enjoyed the freedom there. We enjoyed the freedom to homeschool (actually we are doing "unschooling") our kids, with no regulations.
|
That was good, yet we suffered from
another cold, dark and rainy winter in Northern Europe.
So we gave each other the promise: NO
MORE COLD! This was the last winter in a cold climate.
So after starting our online business
and website in 2009, and building our list and reputation, we decided
to leave UK in November 2009.
We just needed and wanted the sun, sea
and good, ripe tropical fruits!!
So we went to Thailand, in order to eat
durian, enjoy the beaches and have sunlight!
So our story has not ended here in
England... no way!
So our story has not ended in England,.....no way
It has only begun!!
